May 2025: ‘Defying Gravity’ Charity Concert at The Brindley
During the May half term break, A Place for Us Theatre Company invited students from The Health, along with other young people from Halton, to take part in the charity musical theatre show 'Defying Gravity'.
The performance included appearances by West End stars, with all ticket profits donated to North West Cancer Research. Our students rehearsed at school throughout a five‑day half-term workshop, culminating in a glittering evening of talent and hope at The Brindley Theatre on 31 May 2025. Ticket sales alone raised £1,643.28, with additional bucket collections on the night contributing over £500 to the total.
We are grateful to A Place for Us Theatre Company for securing funding from Halton Borough Council, which enabled this wonderful event to go ahead. Huge thanks to everyone involved—it was an outstanding achievement!
