Our Gardening Club is growing strong with Miss Copple at the helm!
The exciting new gardening club has now started and we have had a great time getting the planters ready! It is wonderful to see so many of our students from years 7 to 11 getting stuck into weeding, litter picking and preparing the soil. We have just planted some sunflowers, sweet peas, tomatoes and mint and are looking forward to sowing some more seeds over the coming weeks.
We have just achieved RHS School Gardening Award Level 1 and are hoping to advance to Level 2 and beyond very soon. We will be planting more flowers, herbs and vegetables and are even planning a sunflower growing competition for year 7! If you are green-fingered but haven’t yet had chance to join us, feel free to come along on a Monday after school and get involved!
If you have any old gardening equipment or seeds at home that you no longer need, we would love to make use of them. Please bring any items to Miss Copple in F11.
