Mental Health Week


Next week is Mental Health Awareness Week.

Now in its 17th year, it has previously focused on how mindfulness, anxiety, sleep deprivation and exercise can impact our mental health. This year the theme is Surviving or Thriving?

Good mental health is more than the absence of a mental health problem. This Mental Health Awareness Week, 8-14 May 2017, the idea is to look at mental health from a different angle. Rather than ask why so many people are living with mental health problems, we need to uncover why too few of us are thriving with good mental health.

 Ask yourself what you are doing to help yourself thrive? Walking? Gym? Swimming? Meeting up with friends? Try and make an effort to do something just for you, this weekend.
