During the summer holidays, Sam Jones and Garry Fowler took a number of students on an adventure holiday to Anglesey, North Wales.
The holiday is run and funded each year by a Halton based charity, Camp Project Wales and The Heath has been taking part in this fantastic opportunity for a number of years.
Due to the limited places available students were nominated by their form tutors and Progress Coordinator Mr Cooper. The Heath took 16 lucky students this year to Camp and they all thoroughly enjoyed an action packed week.
They took part in activities such as canoeing, horse riding and swimming, they played games on the glorious Anglesey beaches and enjoyed a luau afternoon, barbeque and disco.
The week culminated in an excellent concert night with every student taking part in singing and performing with their groups.
The students were a credit to The Heath and all thoroughly enjoyed their week under canvas.
Fundraising is already underway to ensure that Camp Project Wales can offer this fantastic opportunity to some of our students next year. Keep an eye out for Santa on his Christmas float as he drives around Runcorn this December, as this is one of our more well known fundraising activities each year.
